Week Four -- Let's Retop That

 Ensuring Quality Early

So I have hit a snag. I was furiously toiling away with my creation but I had a revelation. As admirable as the smoothed, subdivided model is I could not ignore a glaring issue. The dorsal fin. The dorsal illuminated what I deem a major issue. The edge loop that runs through it goes through the whole model. I opted to step back and plan out a new approach to the topography. As I intend to eventually rig this model I think having good, quality topology.
I noticed that the mass of edge loops at the center are quite the eyesore. I'm sure I can create better topography with a minimal use of controlling edges. So this week has ended with me looking to step backward now for the best results later. I struggled to make this choice as I could just persist, but I know it's best to develop good practices now rather than later.
